Oh What a Year! We’ve had some highs this year with our first ever Grand Champion win, and more recently a Reserve Grand Champion against a tough field in the Sam’s Club Series in Laurel MD, to some lows where things just didn’t seem to go right. Now we are about to embark on our biggest adventure yet, our first ever trip to The American Royal! The “Superbowl” of BBQ! (http://www.americanroyal.com/) A lot of thought, practice and planning is going into this trip that in itself has been an adventure! I didn’t see the warning sign on how smokin’ hot your visa card can get from overuse!
Well as you can see we are back from The Royal, there were many adventures along the way, some including Michelle (PitmastersMrs) getting behind the wheel of the RV to do her share of the driving, down to shredding tires on the trailer. All in a days driving!
Now we can’t wait to see what 2013 will bring for Hog-It-Up BBQ!
Today Hog-It-Up BBQ is one of the top teams competing in KCBS, SAM’s Club and Mid Atlantic Barbeque Association events up and down the Eastern Sea board, Appalachians and as far as the mid western US with plans to go national one day.
